First edition, first printing. This book is part of Margaret Collins collection. Margaret Collins was W E Johns niece. A letter of authentication will be sent with this book.
The front cover is slightly faded as is the spine. The front cover right hand top and bottom corners are bumped. The back cover has bumps to the top and bottom left hand corners. Internally the book is clean and bright. The binding is tight. 
Dust wrapper/ The front cover has a tear 4cm along the top of the front flap hinge, also loss further down the hinge in several places. There is a chip to the bottom corners. The top left hand corner has a chip with loss attached . This is attached to loss at the top of the spine. There is also a chip to the top of the spine, not affecting the title. The bottom of the spine has tiny closed tears. There is also a closed tear above the publisher detail at bottom of spine.The back cover has a 2cm closed tear to the top edge. The bottom edge has a 7cm closed tear and another 1 and 1/2 cm closed tear. The rear flap has a 2cm tear to the top of the back cover hinge. There is a 2cm chip to the bottom back cover hinge. The top edge has curled on the front and rear flap. Not price cut./1509
