Worrals on the Warpath (Proof) W.E.Johns

 Very rare PUBLISHER's PROOF COPY,probably only around 10 produced by Hodder for editorial staff etc. The true First edition,as pre printing.
"Biggles Fails to Return" is missing from the books by list. This is present on the First edition. The caption to the frontis is longer than on the First edition the additional text is "Even if they were permitted  to do so". The type face to the title page varies from the First edition, it varies in size too. There is no contents list to the illustration page. In the preface" " a word about Worrals" at the end in the First Edition the last piece beginning one final point and ending sudden France is missing and has been added to the First edition. The proof is missing a review of Flies again. Please photos of all these differences. I cannot see any textual changes but there may well be some. This unusually has the colour frontis and black and white plates by Stead as these are often missing on proofs. More photos on request. Plain soft covers, no title to front or spine. There are a few creases to the front cover.  /1785
