Very early reprint as plain boards,Original very scarce wrapper. Ace Series,circa 1931/32. Edited by W E Johns and the wrapper is illustrated by W.E.Johns.
The front board has surface rubs to the lower front cover. The rest of the front and rear board and spine are all clean, bright and straight. There is some foxing to the text block and this has spread to some margins. The internal pages are otherwise very clean. The binding is very tight.
Dust wrapper/ The corners and bottom edge of the front cover have been neatly reinforced to the rear with brown tape. This makes stating faults difficult. The front cover top right hand corner has a small chip with a 1cm closed split to the top edge. The bottom right hand corner has a chip with tape behind.The top and bottom edge of the spine are rubbed with minor loss and a little faded. These are taped too. The back cover top and bottom edges are curled slightly. The top left hand corner has a small chip, as does the bottom corner. Both have been taped. The front and rear flaps are good. price cut. The rear of the jacket is clean./1619
