This book is signed by the author to the Front end paper. There is also a small inscription.
The boards and spine are rubbed with some marks. The spine is straight but the top right hand corner of the front board is creased. There is foxing to the text block, this has spread to the internal pages to the first few pages, the inside boards and end papers and to some margins. There is a 1cm rust mark to page 140. The binding is tight. Catalogue to rear.
Dust wrapper/The front cover has rubs and creases. The top of the front cover has a small chip. The bottom edge has a 1cm closed tear and a few nicks. The top and bottom of the spine has edge loss, with a chip and 1.5cm closed tear to the top left hand corner and a 3cm closed tear to thetop of the front flap hingeThere is a 2cm closed tear to the bottom of the front cover hinge.The top edges of the flaps are curled with two tiny chips to the front flap. There is a 1/2cm horizontal tear to the middle of the front and  rear flap hinge. No price. The rear of the jacket is clean./2156
