Presumed First edition 1938. Scarce in original Howard Leigh wrapper.Orange cloth boards.Black and white frontispiece also by Howard Leigh.
Slight rubs to corners,edges and top and bottom of spine.Binding a little cocked with faint crease to spine.Clean boards as protected by dust wrapper. Crease/bump to front bottom right corner effecting 4 cm.The text block is slightly browned with age and there is some browning to the internal pages. the binding is tight.No inscription.
Dust wrapper/ The front bottom hinge corner has a 5 cm tear running from the bottom of the spine hinge curving onto the front cover,also there is a similar size tear to back top hinge corner effecting the "S" of "squadron". Some loss to spine top edge,extending 2 cm along front corner with 1.5 cm closed tear,similar tear to spine top and back bottom hinge corner.Minor rubs/splits to spine bottom.Tiny nicks to all corner.Not price cut but scribbled out with pencil, would remove.Complete and VG scarce wrapper.
