The front board has some fading to the top edge and the top right hand corner is bumped. The spine has some fading to the top and bottom. The rear board top left hand corner is bumped. The front end paper has an inscription. The text blosck has some foxing but this has not spread to the internal pages except for page 23. The binding is tight.
Dust wrapper/ The front cover has chips to all four corners. The chip to the bottom right has a 1cm closed tear attached. The front flap hinge is rubbed with a 1cm hole with two horizontal closed tears beneath. The top and bottom of the spine have minor edge loss, rubs and tiny chips and closed tears. All four corners of the rear panel have chips, with the bottom right hand chip being more of an open tear measuring 1cm.The top edges of the front and rear flap are curled. There is a crease to the top corner of the rear flap and the top left hand corner of the front flap is creased and rubbed. The front flap is a little grubby. The rear of the jacket is browned.
