No frontis as issued.
The black boards and spine are reasonably clean The spine is faded and cocked. The front board bottom edge and top and bottom right hand corners are rubbed. The gilt lettering and emblem to the spine has gone but the lettering is visible. There is a small rub and fray to the bottom of the spine.  The text block has minor foxing and is aged. Internally the half title page back and front is foxed. There are occasional fox marks to some pages, but the pages are reasonably clean and the lettering and black and white illustrations are bright and bold. The binding is tight. There is a small book sellers sticker to the bottom of the front inside board. No inscriptions. Autumn 1932 catalogue to rear.
