The front boards and spine are straight with minor rubs to the corners. The spine is faded from the top 16cm down and this matches to the loss in the jacket. The top and bottom of the spine is rubbed. Internally the book is lovely, clean and bright. Colour frontis as issued bright and bold. Very faint foxing to the long side text block and the blue top edge is slightly faded in places.
Dust wrapper/The front cover has creases to the top edge. The bottom edge has 1.5 cm closed tear and a tiny second one to the middle. There is also a chip with a 1cm closed tear to the front flap side.The top of the front flap hinge has a 2 and 1/4cm tear. The spine has loss from the top to 15cm down. The bottom edge of the spine has creases and rubs with a 1cm chip. The back cover has loss attached to the loss on the spine 4.5 x 4.5cm, with a 4cm closed tear attached. There is also a 1/2 cm triangular chip with another small chip to the rear flap bottom edge.The top of the rear flap hinge has a 2cm chip with a 1.5 cm closed tear attached. The front flap is priced at 3/6 but has a 4/- publisher over price sticker. The wrapper has a replica wrapper placed behind.SR
