Spitfire Parade W E Johns SOLD

First Brockhampton edition. I assume this book was part of Stead the illustrators private collection as there is a stamp to the front end paper "STEAD'S PRIVATE LIBRARY NO"  (this is the first example i have seen of this)
The front board, spine and back boards are all clean. The front cover bottom right hand corner is slightly bumped. The lettering on the spine is bold and clear. The front inside board is clean and bright. The front end paper is stamped by Stead. The internal pages are all bright and clean, no foxing. The rear end paper and inside board are clean and bright.
Dust wrapper/ The front cover, spine and back cover are all bright and clean. The top and bottom right hand corners have small chips. The top of the spine has closed tears to both front and cback cover hinges 2cm. The bottom left hand hinge has a 1 and 1/2 cm closed tear. The back cover top back flap hinge has a closed tear 2cm and a tiny chip to the bottom back flap hinge. The front and rear flaps are good. Not price cut./1445
