Signed, Many a Green Isle . Ex libris , W.E.Johns

This book is signed by W E Johns to the the half title paper and reads "Ex libris W E Johns Pitchroy Lodge Blackboat Moray". 
The front board outside corners are bumped. The spine is straight and the gilt lettering to the spine, bright and bold. The top and bottom edges are rubbed. The rear board has bumps to the outside corners. The text block is slightly foxed this has not spread to the inside pages which are generally clean and bright. The paper is wartime paper.
Dust wrapper/ There is loss to the top of the front flap hinge measuring 2cm x 2cm. The bottom of the front flap has a 1/2 cm closed tear with a second 1/2 cm closed tear next to it on the bottom of the front cover. The top of the spine has loss 2cm x 1.5cm with edge loss. The bottom of the spine has loss1.5cm. The rear panel has detached. There is a 4.5 x 1cm triangle hole with a creased arera to the rear panel with a 3cm tear to the rear flap hinge attached.There is a 1.5cm split to the top of the rear flap and  a 1cm triangle loss to the bottom. The top edges of the front and rear flap are curled.
