The boards and spine are clean and straight. The outside corners are slightly bumped. The bottom of the spine is faded, this corresponds with the loss to the bottom of the dust wrapper. The inside boards and end papers have tape marks. There is foxing to the text block this has spread to the end papers back and front. The front end paper has a small inscription to the top right hand corner.
Dust wrapper/ The top of the front cover is creased and rubbed. There is 1/2cm horizontal closed tear to the spine side and a 3.5cm horizontal closed tear to the front flap side. This is attached to a 2cm closed tear from the top of the front flap. This tear has a chip to the top. This has been taped to the rear. The top of the spine has edge loss and rubs, not affecting the title. There is 2cm loss to the bottom of the spine, removing the publisher. This loss is attached to 6cm length loss to the bottom of the rear panel. The top of the rear panel has slight edge loss with two small closed tears. The top two corners have small chips. There are two holes one measures 3cm x1cm and the other 2cm x 1cm. The tops of the front and rear flaps are curled with small closed tears. The rear flap tears have been taped to the rear. The price has been cut to a depth of 3cm. The rear of the jacket is foxed and there are two tape marks to the spine./2202
