All four volumes are in a fine condition with fine original brown paper dust wrappers. The only faults are Vol 4  has a 2 cm fray to corner of spine, see photo (not serious)  and  Volume 2 dust wrapper has a 1 cm closed tear to the front cover top spine hinge and tiny rubs to the front cover top and bottom right hand corners otherwise in FINE UNUSED CONDITION. There are hundreds of plates and black and white drawings which, had they been used some would have no doubt been coloured in.
All four have lovely  frontis pieces. Unusual metal  stud binding system,in Fine condition.
