The boards and spine are square. The front pictorial board bottom right hand corner is bumped.  The spine has minor rubs to the top and bottom edges. There is some foxing to the front and rear inside boards. Internally the pages are bright and clean with no foxing .The text block is without foxing too. No inscription. The black and white frontis and colour plates are all bright and bold and intact. The binding is tight.
Dust wrapper/ The front cover bottom edge has a 8cm closed tear and small chips. The bottom of the front flap hinge has a small chip. The top and bottom of the spine have some edge loss. The top edge has small closed tears. The bottom rear flap hinge has a 4cm closed tear. The back cover has a 1cm closed tear to the bottom left hand corner with a small chip attached. The top of the rear flap has a tiny chip. The rear flap hinge has a small hole and a 1cm closed tear and is browned. The top edge of the rear flap is curled and browned. The rear of the jacket is reasonably clean.
