This edition has the plane on the front, the first edition has plain boards.
The signature (to the FEP) is in pencil which although unusual, is a correct and authentic signature.
The front board has rubs to the right hand top and bottom corners and outside edges. The title and pictorial illustration are bold and clear. the lettering to the spine is bold. There is a 2cm scratch to the "Fighting" in the title on the spine.The spine is rubbed mainly to the spine top with a little edge fraying ,less to the bottom.The spine hinges are rubbed. The rear board has rubs to the left hand top and bottom corners. Internally the pages are generally clean with some very occasional brown marks.
Dustwrapper-The front cover has 3 cm x 2.5cm loss to the top edge. The top corners have rubs and some loss with cello repairs to rear. The bottom edge and corners has been repaired from behind,with some creasing.The spine top has minimal loss but the bottom has 2 x 2 cm loss. The back cover bottom edge has a 7 cm closed tear repaired from behind and several closed small edge splits. There are grubby/rusty marks to the bottom part. the rear flap top edge is curled. The front flap top edge has rubs and minor loss to the front cover corner and a 2 cm closed tear to the lower middle, with additional small closed tears/creases Not price cut.
