The front board has a bump to the bottom right hand corner, with rubs to the right hand top amd bottom corners. The top edge has a bump to the middle. The lettering and pictorial illustration on the front board and spine are bright, clear and bold. The top and bottom edges of the spine are curled with minor edge rubs. The spine is slightly cocked. The rear board has a stain to the bottom edge. The left hand top and bottom corners are bumped with minor rubs. The text block has some browning, this has spread to some pages but is minimal, there is also a small ink mark to page 127 Otherwise the internal pages ar clean and bright, this includes the colour frontis. The binding is tight and no inscriptioins.
Dust wrapper/ The front cover top and bottom edges are rubbed with edge loss and tiny closed tears. The right hand top and bottom corners have 1cm chips. The front flap hinge is rubbed. There is a crease running down the front cover which implies that this medium thick wrapper has been placed on a full thickness book before. The spine has edge loss, rubs and tiny closed tears. There is a crease running to the left hand side with rubs to the front and back cover hinges. The back cover has two closed tears to the bottom edge. One measures 1cm and the other 1/2 cm. There is a also a 1/2 cm tear. The back cover is grubby with a list with spitfire Parade to the bottom of the list. There are small chips to the top and bottom of the rear flap hinge. Not price cut. The rear of the jacket has been taped to the top and bottom of the spine onto back and front covers.
