Early 1935 reprint (no catalogue to rear)
The front board has some fading to the top edge and long side. The gilt lettering is bold and clear. There are water marks to the top half of the front and a smaller one to the bottom. The spine is sunned and the gilt lettering has faded. The rear board has some fading to the edges. The front inside board has a book plate. The front end paper has some browning. The frontis is bright and bold. The internal pages are reasonably clean. The binding is tight and the text block is un foxed. The rear end paper is clean and the rear inside board has a small book sellers sticker.All of the plates and frontis are all intact and complete.
Dust wrapper/The rear of the wrapper has been re enforced to the spine and hinges. The front cover has a chip to the top left hand corner 2 and 1/2 x 1cm. The bottom edge has two 1cm closed tears with a crease between. There is a tape mark to the bottom half of the spine hinge. It is difficult to see because of the reinforcement but the spine may have come away from the front and back cover. The top and bottom of the spine are rubbed with some loss. The back cover is bright and bold. There are rubs to the top edge. There is a 2cm closed tear to the bottom left hand corner. The front and rear flaps top edges are curled. The front flap top edge has small closed tears too. Not price cut. The rear of the jacket is very clean/1663
