Biggles in the Jungle

Scarce war time book. First edition first edition. Very Good condition
The front cover is reasonably flat. The corners and top and bottom edges are rubbed with the top left hand corner rubbed 3cm x3 cm. The pictorial illustration is bold and clear. The spine is straight and the lettering bold and clear. The top and bottom are slightly rubbed.The back cover is straight and clean. The edges are slightly rubbed. The front inside board and end paper are clean and bright with no inscription. The internal pages are all very clean. The hinge has pulled on page 80/81 but te binding is otherwise tight. No foxing. The frontis piece is in a very good condition, bright and bold.The rear inside board and end paperare both clean and without mark or blemish.
Dust wrapper/ The front cover has tiny chips to all four corners and slight creases to the top and bottom edges but is otherwise very good.There has been a repair to the bottom edge. The spine has some loss to the top affecting "Biggles" in the title. Also some rubs and tiny loss to the bottom edge. The spine is un sunned. The back cover has creases to the top and bottom with chips to the left hand top and bottom corners. The front and back flaps are clean and there is no price cut./1331
