Biggles Flies South

First edition first printing in repaired 3/6 wrapper. The front board is straight but a little grubby. The lettering and pictorial illustration is bold and clear. The spine is straight. The rear board has a few rubs to the edges but is straight. The front-end paper and inside board are clean and bright. The Colour front is bright, all illustrations intact. The internal pages are clean and bright with a crease to one corner. The binding is tight. No inscription. Dust wrapper: The front cover is missing the top 1/3, extending into the edge of the front flap text, this has been repaired with a replica wrapper. The bottom right-hand corner has a chip. There is a small piece missing from the top spine hinge. The top of the spine has a piece missing affecting part of "Biggles" in the title. The bottom edge of the spine has minor edge loss not affecting "Oxford." The back cover has small loss to all four back corners. There is a small piece missing to the bottom edge 2 cm x 1cm extending along the bottom edge. There is a water stain to half of the rear flap, which extends to a third of the back cover. The front flap has piece missing along the hinge. The top edge front flap is curled, creased. Not price cut. The reverse of the jacket shows the water damage but is otherwise clean.
