Biggles Defies the Swastika

Medium thick First thus edition. Biggles Sees it through 1941 to top of Dustwrapper rear list.The front board has some very minor grubby marks and rubs to the edges. The title and pictorial illustrations to the front board and spine are bright and bold. Tiny asterix to half title page indicating medium thick book. The spine is straight with minor rubs to the bottom edge. The rear board has some white marks and minor rubs. The bottom edge is rubbed. The text block long side is foxed and this has spread to the first twenty pages and to the rear inside board and end paper.The colour frontis is bright and bold. No inscription and the binding is tight.Dust wrapper/ The top right hand corner has a 1cm x 1/2 cm loss with a 1.5cm x1/2 cm loss to the bottom right hand corner.The bottom edge has a 1cm closed tear with a 2cm crease attached. The top edge of the spine has a 1.5cm x 1cm loss with rubs. The bottom edge has rubs and tiny closed tears. There is a small browwn mark below the E of Biggles in the title. The back cover is a little grubby. The top left hand corner has a 1cm closed tear. the bottom left hand corner is rubbed. There is loss to the top of the rear flap measuring 1cm x 1cm. Price cut. The rear of the jacket is clean./1962
