Biggles Air Commodore SOLD

First edition first printing. Correct thickness book with correct very scarce original 3/6 wrapper.
The front and rear boards are clean and not faded as protected by the wrapper. The front board bottom right hand corner is creased. The spine is straight and all the lettering in the title and illustration are bold and clear. The rear board has minor rubs to the top spine hinge. The left hand top and bottom corners are very slightly bumped. The inside boards and end papers are clean and bright with no inscription. The text block is foxed but this has not spread to the internal pages which are bright and clean. The hinge has pulled on the frontis page but the binding is otherwise tight.
Dust wrapper/ The front cover has chips to all four corners. the bottom left hand corner has creasing which is attached to a 3cm x 2cm loss on the bottom edge of the spine,see photo. The top left and corner chip has a 3cm closed tear attached. The bottom right hand chip has a 4cm closed tear mainly to the spine. The spine has closed tears and loss to the top and bottom edges,all of "Biggles" is OK and most of "Oxford",only the edge of the "O"is missing. The back cover has chips to all four corners. The top right hand corner has a 2cm chip with a 1cm closed tear and another small chip under. The back cover has a quite large 10cm x 11cm closed tear. The top edge has seven small closed tears. One is 2cm. The spine hinge is rubbed slightly. The front and rear flaps are very good. Not price cut. The rear of the jacket is clean./1615
