Front board is straight and un bumped but spotted. The gilt lettering is bold and bright. The top and bottom spine edges are rubbed slightly with some slight creasing. The gilt lettering to the spine is a little faded. The front/ rear board both have a small dark  mark to the edge and a small edge scratch to the rear bottom edge. The internal pages, including the inside boards and end papers  are very clean. The binding is very tight.No inscription.No foxing.Plates are excellent.
Dust wrapper/ The front cover has minor foxing to the top edge  around the title. the top right hand corner has a tiny chip with a rubbed crease along the front flap hinge. The top left hand corner has a minor rub/crease. The bottom edge has minor loss to the left hand side and a rub to the bottom right hand corner. The spine top and bottom edges have very minor edge loss,with slight rubs and small closed tears. The bottom edge has chips to both corners. The back cover top left hand corner has a 2 cm closed tear and the top right hand corner has a 2.5 cm closed tear and some rubs. The bottom edge left hand corner has rubbed very slightly. The front flap has minor crease to price otherwise both flaps are very good. Not price cut. The Whole wrapper is  clean complete./1706
