The boards and spine are grubby, with minor whitening to the edges of the front board. The pictorial illustration and title on the  front board are bold. The spine is bumped , creased to the top and faded but the pictorial illustration and title are still visible. The top of the text block has some water stains. The front inside board has a book plate. The hinge has pulled on the front end paper and half title page, also on page 208 and 209 and page 256 and the rear inside board. The colour frontis is bright and bold. The internal pages are clean and bright.
Dust wrapper/The front cover has creases to the top edge. There are two closed tears, one is 1.5cm and the other 4cm. This has been repaired to the rear. The bottom edge has a tiny chip and a tiny closed tear. There are creases too. The bottom of the front flap hinge has a 1.5cm closed tear. The top and bottom of the spine has loss, this has spread onto the rear cover. This has been repaired to the rear with a damaged replica wrapper. This means that white paper shows at the edges. The rear of the jacket is grubby and has a closed tear to the top measuring 2cm. The bottom edge has a 1cm closed tear. The top and bottom edges are creased. The bottom of the rear flap hinge has a 1cm tear with rubs. The top edge of the front flap is creased. Not price cut. The rear of the jacket has some minor foxing.
